A good consultation starts before you send the first message. The clearer you are about what happened and what you want, the clearer the reading will be. You do not need to write an essay or have every date right. But fifteen minutes of preparation makes a real difference, both to the reading and to how confident you feel afterward.
This guide explains what to have ready, what Baba Ali Musa will ask, what you should ask back, and how to keep the whole thing private.
What the consultation is
A consultation with Baba Ali is a private conversation about your situation, followed by a reading of the bond between you and the other person. You can start it through the private request form, WhatsApp, a phone call or email. The reading is free. It tells you whether the connection is still open, what is standing in the way, and which work, if any, suits it.
Nothing is cast until you have heard the reading and agreed. If the work fits, you are told which materials the ritual needs and what they cost. You decide in your own time. The How It Works page shows each stage.
What to have ready
Baba Ali needs very little personal information. Have these ready:
- Your first name and date of birth.
- The other person’s first name, if you choose to share it. Nothing else about them is needed: no address, no workplace, no passwords.
- A short timeline. When you met, how long you were together, when things changed, and when you last had contact.
- What happened, in your words. A few honest sentences are better than a long defense of either side.
- Where things stand now. Are you in contact, blocked, living together, separated, divorced? Is someone new involved?
- Any previous spiritual work. Readings, candles, spells from other practitioners, even a kit you tried yourself. This matters more than people expect.
- Your time zone and the best time to reach you.
Get clear on what you want
“I want them back” is a start, but it helps to go one step further. Do you want them to reach out? To commit? To stop seeing someone else? To stop fighting? To come home? Different goals call for different work, from return work to commitment work to healing a broken relationship.
It also helps to ask yourself a harder question: if they came back tomorrow, what would need to be different for it to last? Baba Ali may ask you this too. The answer shapes the aftercare.

What Baba Ali may ask you
- What was the turning point in the relationship?
- Who ended it, and what reason was given?
- How do they respond when you reach out now?
- Is anyone else influencing the situation, such as a new partner, family or friends?
- Have you or anyone else done spiritual work on this relationship before?
- What would a good outcome look like to you?
Answer as honestly as you can, including the parts you are not proud of. Nobody is judging you. A reading built on half the story is half as useful.
Questions you should ask back
A real practitioner welcomes questions. Ask:
- What do you see in the reading, in plain words?
- Which work do you suggest, and why that one?
- What will it not do?
- Which materials are needed, and what do they cost, before anything is bought?
- What happens if I see no change?
- What should I do, and avoid, afterward?

Cases Baba Ali will not take
Please read this before you book. Baba Ali does not take cases involving minors, a person who has asked the client to stay away, protective orders, or situations with abuse. Baba Ali also declines requests to hurt someone or to break up another family out of spite. If you are in danger, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233. Keeping your consultation private
Many clients share a phone, a laptop or an email account with someone else. A few simple steps keep your consultation to yourself:
- Use an email address and phone number that only you can see.
- Use a private or incognito browser window, and close it when you finish.
- Tell Baba Ali the safest way and time to contact you.
- Keep your case tracker link somewhere private. You can delete your case and everything you sent from that page at any time.
Your request is encrypted the moment it arrives, and it is deleted automatically after 12 months. The client rights and privacy guide explains exactly what is kept.
After the reading
Take your time. You do not have to decide on the call. If the reading says your case is not a fit, you will hear that plainly and you will not be charged anything. If it is a fit, the ritual is scheduled once you agree, often timed with the moon (see the moon phases guide).
If anything feels rushed, pressured or unclear, say so. And if you ever meet a practitioner who demands payment before a reading, invents a curse or sets a countdown timer, read the scam warning signs.
A sample first message
If you are not sure how to start, you can copy and adapt this:
Hello Baba Ali. My name is [first name], born [date]. I was with [their first name] for [length of time]. We separated [when] because [short reason]. If you feel nervous
Feeling nervous before a first consultation is normal. Many people have never told anyone the full story of their relationship, and saying it out loud can bring up strong feelings. It may help to write your story down first, even as a rough list. You can send it as a message rather than saying it on a call, if that feels easier. Take breaks if you need them. Nothing you say will shock Baba Ali, and nothing you share is judged. You can also stop the consultation at any time and come back to it later.
Questions about consultations
Is the reading really free?
Yes. You pay only for ritual materials, and only if you choose to go ahead after the reading.
Do I need a photo of my partner?
No. Your first name, date of birth, their first name if you choose, and what happened are enough.
How long does a consultation take?
It depends on your situation and how you get in touch. There is no rush and no timer.
Can I book for someone else?
